The history behind the product:
In 1981 Warren East established EDL to provide service and installation of scientific and medical equipment including X-Ray, MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Spectrophotometers, Nuclear Magnetic Reactors etc. In 2008 he investigated a magnetic water treatment device developed in PA, USA and successfully sold throughout the USA and Australia. On return to NZ he adapted the design to comply to the NZ pipe-fitting standard and local conditions. He has spent the last 12 years researching water treatment for both rural and urban use and has been a consultant to several water filter supply companies in NZ. He wanted to find a solution to reducing the build-up of silica and calcium scale deposits in bathrooms, kitchens etc. and in commercial and industrial equipment like high pressure sterilizers, boilers etc.
EDLwater Ltd. was established with the aim of providing top quality, high performance and comprehensive (one stop) whole-house water treatment systems at a competitive price. Warren believes the EDLwater system offers excellent performance versus cost, plus a comprehensive solution to the treatment of water for the home. "EDLwater systems are tailored for NZ urban mains supply and offer a simple solution to taking the things out of your water that you and your plumbing certainly do not need: Grit and dirt, chlorine, heavy metals, THM's (by-products of chlorine sterilization) many of which are odourless and tasteless. Also, the build-up of scale on surfaces is very problematic in many areas throughout the world and our customers tell us the system has made a big improvement.
At present we are focused on the urban market, however we are always prepared to answer questions regarding rural water supplies, especially for non-profit organisations such as small rural schools and clubs.
